I recently purchased three LG HG2 18650 batteries off Amazon but I'm not convinced they're genuine (different than pictured, different charge rates, poor performance etc). It's not the first time I've bought fake stuff on Amazon and finding a reliable source for batteries is a minefield. There appears to be more dodgy vendors than genuine.

Either way I'd like to buy a second set so I'm looking for Sony VCT5s or any of the LGs (i.e. ideally over 2500mAh). Some of the Samsungs seem to get quite rated too.

I've tried Illumn but I'm having problems purchasing via Paypal as Paypal does not allow UK-registered accounts to deliver to Thailand.

Can anyone recommend a reliable source who they've used personally who they know sells genuine batteries? I've found one Thai online vendor who sells AWs but they've not come back to me on whether they are genuine or not (and they're not as rated as the others).

GB is having a flash sale on the LG HE4s. You can buy a 4 pack for $14.59. I ordered some and received them with no problems. The HE4s are not my first choice on batteries (personal preference) but they are good and I have no safety concerns with them. Hard to beat at this price. Or you can go with the Samsung 25Rs, 4 pack for $15.99. If the Samsungs had been on sale when I made my purchase, I would have went with these.

Somehow I also need three 18650 batteries so I can better order them with GB.
So +1 on shipping method.

 

Netherlands Post. The only one that can ship batteries according to GB. Yes, it was trackable.

 

Thanks for the heads up on GB, I went ahead and ordered 4x INR18650 30Q. Shipping looks a bit slow but I can wait.
