The funny thing is that I didn't even have time to use my Rayon yet, like Siam Diesel!

Hope to meet one day Scooby!

Finally received my rayon! I thought the letter had been lost. Thank you very much Konvict.

So I'm trying it on my Kayfun. Very good flavour but the Kayfun gets really hot after 5/6 vapes. Not sure of the reason. Maybe I put too much rayon? I read that you had to put a bit more than normal cotton...

I use rayon in my kayfun 3.1 (clone), i found that i need to use alot more rayon for the wicks than if i used cotton, iam vaping at 15 watts on a 1.2 ohm coil, it gets a little hot but not more than i can still hold it in my hand.

what ohms does your coil have, how many watts you use, what device are you using ?:vaping:

1.3ohm coil on a 3.1 clone, at 10w with the Istick (so in reality probably around 13/14w). It gets quite hot, hotter than when I used it with cotton (except for one time when I put too much of it), but I can still hold it in my hand. Not so big of a deal I guess.

Got a shipment with Rayon yesterday too. Had to try it with all the hype going on :grin:And yes, with the limited trials I’ve done so far, it is worth the extra money. I have been very pleased with the cotton, and still is. Rayon gives a different flavour, and I need to put in more. Will need a few builds to adapt fully, but very happy so far.

The rayon really shouldn't be affecting heat levels. Hmm... One thing though is it can handle higher temps/watts/volts much better than cotton. Oh and it's difficult to have to much in the coil but it's possible. When wicking you want it to stutter and squeek with resistance as you pull it through the coil. That's when you know you have it about right. Because of the way it wicks you can cut away some of the wick tails too...it can actually wick better and side benefit is that due to more rayon in the coil you will have large tails and they can accopy a lot of space so cutting them down can help make placement better.

Maybe its that the rayon can hold more juice so more juice will be heated in the chamber that makes it heat up a bit more, my kayfun has always been hot around the base so i cant say if it gets hotter with rayon.:vaping:

LOL, the only one that didn't try the Rayon yet is me! As soon as I have a whole day to myself I will try it out... So I will tell you next year what I think of it!:rolling laugh:

    Seriously!:sunny:

Sorry Caribou, I asked them to send it by EMS like I did with Rider, which I think goes faster than normal post...

When they came back they told me they didn't send it by EMS but with normal post and I prayed you would get it before Christmas, so I am pretty happy!

Me too! I don't know about yours but I feel like Phuket's post office is playing the lottery with normal mail. Sometimes I get oversea mail in a few days, sometimes my TOT bill comes a month late, or just never... go figure.
