I simply like the Yamaha :). I'm sure there is a lot of things that could be better on this bike, but I believe I could live easily with this bike.
But my main problem is were I live. The nearest shop I've found so far with this bike would be Khon Kaen and that is a good bit away. I'm happy out here in Isaan, but it gives me a little headache now and then.
So I may have to look at Honda, I may have better luck there. Will check out what the dealers in Sawang Dan Din and Udon Thani has to say tomorrow.

I'm about 30K from Sawang daen Din and I think there is a bike shop near Kbank that does some larger sport bikes so maybe you will get lucky there. It's Honda as well IF I remember correctly. Udon has a couple of big bike shops I saw from a google search a while ago. Not sure of the brands though. Sorry.

You may want to consider the new Africa Twin....it's going to be released in Thailand at the end of next month. I have a feeling this will be my next bike.

Yes, I plan to have a chat with the dealer in Sawang today, we will take a trip to Udon either in the afternoon or tomorrow too. I got plenty of free time to look around a little so I'm sure it turn out okay :)
    **Updated**
Looks to be a great machine, but I'n all honesty it would probably be much to powerful for me. But I understand a more experienced biker looking longingly at it

Too much for a beginner. And also, just as a relaxant it is a bit too much.

The big plus for the MT-07 is its low weight and a lovely engine. My own bike is about 240 kg, sometimes I really think about going back to the roots.

Well, have been looking around and went to Udon to have look / try of the Honda's. The CB650F is what I end up with. At 288000 bath it's almost the same price. Haven't decided yet if it will be a CBF500 or 650 for my wife. It's a okay bike and the location of BigWing in Udon makes it a lot easier. So if all goes well we go and hand over the money tomorrow :).

Well, then the new bike has arrived at it's new home, and I'm a happy camper. What surprised me some is how easy the bike is to drive. Handles real well well.
The only small thing I could have wished for is a shift indicator, but with some km on the bike that will be okay too.
Thank's to all that took the time to give advice in here, I'm grateful to all :)

John that is awesome. I think you made the right choice, and it is the choice I would have made. :) A 4 cylinder just womps all over the twins (except maybe a Harley v-twin). Be easy on the engine til the piston rings break in, but once they're broken in and you can fully twist that throttle you will have no regrets about choosing it over the Yamaha.

Took a little drive today, just 45km to relax a little. And it's so easy to handle that I'm really impressed. And I'm happy I took the CB version, I sit very comfortably and feels at home there already.

Next weekend I will probably join in on the introduction course that BigWing offers to new customers in Udon. It's a free course and a some good instructors so it will be fun.
