tried at 10.5w and its a way better vape so thanks for that. Its still not doing the juices justice but good enough for a day trip or night out.

I think it depends on the coils a lot. The older ones for sure are more of an issue.

Here you have 2 people who have used these a lot, I think it would be safe to rely on their opinions. Of course I would also try different wattages and find what you like, you may prefer a different wattage, but I think it would be safe to use anything in the range they use as theirs seem to last quite a while. My Aspire K1 seems to be better at a higher wattage than my Kanger is. Try it out and see what you like.

Personally the way I ruin a coil quicker is chain vaping.

    Compared to what?

While some RTA's seem to get very good reviews, I'm not sure that any tank beats an RDA yet. You may have to give up a little bit of the flavor for the ease of a tank...

For me the whole point of an RDA is to change flavours every 5 mins. The better flavour, bigger clouds, ability to change wick and clean coil in less than 2 minutes and smaller form factor are just added bonuses!

For me as long as I'm not out and too lazy to keep dripping, for me an RDA is my favorite way to vape. The tanks are ok when I'm out, but I'd much prefer the RDA.

I always like changing flavors, I almost never vape the same flavor all day.

I would like to get my hands on a drip tank, but I don't have either talent or patience to wick my atomizers. Is there an alternative on the market which uses pre-built coils?

Search for 'pre-coiled' on the Fast Tech site. Try this link.

But be aware that some may be Nichrome and not Kanthal A1 coils.

I don't order from overseas but you have 2 options. One is the pre-coiled ones that you can buy packs of, just search fast tech for pre-coiled wire.

The other option is to use a coil jig, I could not coil myself but with the jig it's simple.

SD gave you the link for the pre-built coils.

I would highly recommend this Kuro Koiler Universal Tool Kit | Thailand Vapers though as it's in Thailand, and there really is no need for those pre-built coils when you can do it yourself easily with this jig. Doing it yourself allows you to make the coils exactly how you want it.

I know your fears about not being able to make a good coil, but let me just say this, the coils I made when starting out were not perfect, but it did not take long to improve. Secondly, the poorly made coils in the beginning still outperformed my tanks, so you don' really have to worry much about the coil being perfect. The wire is also very cheap, so you can ruin lots of it playing around without spending much money.
    **Updated**
Add to this that my sight isn't perfect, but my issue is that my hands shake quite a bit. It's not that bad though, I have been able to make coils fine.

The other thing is you don't have to make them much, I have been using my coil now for almost a full month, and I have probably vaped 100ml++ through it.

I forgot Big told me he would coil one for me. Not sure how much he'd charge etc, but if you just wanted to have one pre-made that would work.

David, I disagree. Buying them pre-made allows you to have coils exactly as you want them - each perfect and requiring only trimming the legs. As an early adopter I was making coils for 3 years but now I just don't waste my time. I have .6 ohm coils and 1.25 ohm coils and this covers every angle for me. I recoiled 3 months ago and all my coils are still in perfect condition Ie I haven't changed them yet. I re-wick every 2 days. Home made coils can be as good but why bother. Just an alternative view. Cheers
