1. Welcome to Thailand Vapers, an English language forum for members in Thailand and the rest of Asia to talk about vaping.
Commonly referred to as e-cigarettes, vaping is really about the use of personal vaporizers (mods) and atomizers (tanks, clearos, RBAs, RDAs, RTAs) filled with e-liquid.

    Confused-you will be! .
Thanks SD-I am going back to UK with a variety of different devices and wasn't too sure. I will put my ELEAF devices in the hold and my removable battery devices in the cabin. Just so long as some f**#$@ing overzealous airport security dude doesn't want to confiscate them.

Check the regulations of the airline on which you're flying. Since e-cigs are legal there, I'd carry anything of value with you in the cabin. Coming back here is a different story, though!

When I flew last week with Bangkok Airways they had a limit of 1,000MaH per battery, and it had to be in your carry on luggage...i.e. not in the hold.

On a side note, when I checked in at Chiang Mai on the way back home they made me open my case because of a strip of coils and box of carts that they saw on the x-ray

Here are the Bangkok Air rules for batteries posted under Dangerous Goods on their site.

Here's the formula to convert mAh to Watt-hours (Wh):
    upload_2015-5-2_10-45-22.png

    **Updated**

One 18650 battery @ 2500 mAh (4.2 volts) is equivalent to 10.5 Wh.
The battery in an iStick 50 w is equivalent to 18.5 Wh.

My bad...Guess I read the card wrong that she showed me....I don't recall seeing the 100Wh

Portable electronic devices containing non-spillable batteries, batteries must be 12 V or less and 100 Wh or less. A maximum of 2 spare batteries may be carried.

I think that section applies to batteries that are not Li-Ion...but if the limit of 2 spares does apply, this is one potential solution: $12.99 Ruinovo 302 1A/2.1A 3*18650 Dual USB Output Mobile Power Pack Battery Charger at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

when flying I usually have one Mod with a full Nautilus Tank to use at the airport, and during commuting. My other Mod and extra Tanks and Liquid is all in my checked Luggage. Might not be 100% correct as per airline rules, but I usually travel with lots of Battery gear including two or three Cameras with a few spare batteries each, and frankly can't be bothered by getting updated on all their regulations on a daily basis. Haven't had an issue yet, and I am flying about 40-50 legs a Year.
All my Battereis are kept safe in individual cases or bags to make spontaneous shortening rather impossible, no I also buy only quality Brands, no Sony shit.

So you bring one mod with nautilus on carry-on and other mods on the check-in luggage? If that is the case, I can bring my mod with tank with me on carry-on?

Pack the juice in your checked luggage...carry on the rest. You shouldn't have any issues...
