It does sound a little concerning-only 2 spare batteries, does anyone know how many Box Mods they will allow-and could you leave the batteries in them thus increasing the amount of batteries? What a fiasco-and all thanks to a few idiots who have packed their battery and mod in such a stupid way as to get a short.

    just an FYI

last time i flew in/out of bkk (April 2015) i had three mods, 4-18650 batteries, and about 8 - 30mil juice bottles in my carry-on bag. the only time an eyebrow was even raised was in Dubai where they questioned what it was. a short explanation later and i was on my way....

    p.s. Emirates Airlines

Incidentally, I guess that you took the 18650s out of the mods, and were any of the internal battery type?

On my trip to China last week, I flew with 3 mods in my carry-on luggage...an iTaste VV V3, a VS rDNA40 and an iStick50. When I went through security in both Thailand and Shanghai, they could see the mods. In Thailand, they asked about both the rDNA & the iStick (and knew exactly where they were in the bag...I had them together). They looked at both, I told them they were batteries (there were no tanks attached) and that was that. In China, they asked about the rDNA (I had separated them this time but they knew its location in my bag). Again, I told them it was a battery (it was locked) and they waived me through. This time, I also had 4 Nautilus tanks with me and they weren't the least bit interested in those. I do think it's a good idea to separate mods from tanks when going through security...easy enough to re-attach them on the other side. My juice was safely in my checked luggage, which I had plastic wrapped at the airport for Bt 150...cheap insurance against light-fingered baggage handlers!

Upon arrival in BKK, I went through the Green Channel (doesn't everyone?!) and had no problems. I was vaping by the time I got to the car.

in the pre-take off video Emirates now specifically states that "electronic smoking devises" are not allowed to be used on the plane. i found myself taking a few pulls in the laboratory a few times though....

Me, too but I wasn't using such high VG juice or such high output devices last flight-the amount of cloud vapor that my devices produce currently might not be such a good idea-how do smoke detectors work with vapor? I would hate to be busted $2000 for a crafty smoke in the toilet.

Good idea...clouds are not desirable on a plane. I use an iTaste VV V3 + Aspire ET-S tank with a higher nic juice than normal. Peppermint is my flavor of choice on a plane as anybody catching a whiff wouldn't think twice about it...they'd figure it was in the plane's air-circulation system (or so I believe).

I saw a video on this...if you put enough vapor into the air, the smoke detector will go off (it also depends on what type of smoke detector is installed...ionization or photoelectric type). Best bet is to hold the vapor in as long as possible before exhaling and then exhale into the toilet bowl...almost nothing should be visible and the smoke detector should stay silent! This also works in the plane if you exhale under a blanket...

Yes, I've done the "I'm asleep with my blanket over my head" vape technique.
I've still got some 36 mg. 70/30 PG to VG that should be vapor less enough-and with enough nic to not need to many hits.

It works at the movie theater as well, just make sure no one is sitting next to you and you taking a puff when the room is quite dark.

Yeah-I got serious sweats last time I vaped some 36mg-actually a little uncomfortable-I'll have to go easy.
