1. Welcome to Thailand Vapers, an English language forum for members in Thailand and the rest of Asia to talk about vaping.
Commonly referred to as e-cigarettes, vaping is really about the use of personal vaporizers (mods) and atomizers (tanks, clearos, RBAs, RDAs, RTAs) filled with e-liquid.

    Thanks Ryan :)

I have a coupe of Qs

Would you describe yourself as a heavy vaper?

How long do you think it would last dripping at 0.5 and 30w?

[my math/ohms law attempt > about a third of the time?]

    Thanks Ryan :)

    I only have 1 question.

Will you adopt me as your 'vaping son' and teach me how to go around in this cruel vaping world?

And please if you are a good vaper, please answer Panga first.

    Thank you Sir.

Yes. I vape 18mg out of my Kayfuns, and since I don't have a job there really is no stopping me all day long. Prior to vaping I went through at least a can of Copenhagen every day, so I'm used to having a high level of nicotine in my blood all day long.

Not long. Also, there is no need to run a coil at .5 watts when you have variable wattage. 30 watts is 30 watts, regardless of resistance (theoretically). Obviously it depends on a lot of factors, but you would basically need to keep it plugged in while you're vaping and hope it charges faster than you're discharging it. While the Vapor Shark can be used for dripping at 30 watts, it really wasn't designed for pushing the envelope. You might want to wait for it's big brother with the 18650 batteries. I wish I could give you a nice solid figure, but seeing as I don't use 18350s (which would be pretty much equivalent to the 1200mAh battery) I can't really guess for you.

That's where I need your help. What to buy and where. Where I can still figure out as I know a lot of sites. The point is what to buy bro, considering I don't know anything about coils and all

That is an equivalence I can compute. I am gonna need a bigger battery. I was 2 backs of Bensons a day and I vape pretty solidly now.

I hadn't really thought of that. I guess as long as the coil is <2.3 ohms you can run at 30w. It wouldn't be a full time device though and I'd want to be switching atties between mech and the regulated mod. Or maybe I wouldn't. I have enough atties to do both.

Not gonna be buying for a month or more anyway. Choices right now are probably the vaporshark, the cheapy ($99) dz altoids tin which can run 2x18650 but is out of stock, or hopefully by then a 30w yihi device.

    thx for your answers

Keep in mind, you can charge it anywhere there is a USB connection. Also, you may want to look at upping your nicotine level and increasing the PG in your juice for more flavor and throat hit. I just made a bottle of 60/40 12mg so I can see how it keeps up with increased vaping throughout the day. I've got to say, the flavor is quite a bit more pronounced than my 15/85 batch with the same amount of flavoring. More than one way to skin a cat.

Can charge the Itaste vv via usb as well but it never really worked well for me (realise it is much lower mah). Charging p***es me off when I am not at home. If I was gonna get the VS it would be because it was pocket friendly but charging would be problematic between 7am-6pm. Obviously I realise pocket friendly = relatively short battery life. I normally have a bag so extra batteries are no problem. Hence I might go a bit bigger and go for removable/swappable 18650 batteries (maybe with 2 battery slots). I'm probably willing to sacrifice some portability and use it at more at home. Kayfun/Taifun at 1.0/nemi in 350/spare batteries is already very satisfactory for out and about.

If its not clear: I don't really know what I want. Think I will know it when I see it.

On the nic and pg/vg: I vape mostly 6mg 65/35 although I have just made a 12mg 80/20 for stealth vaping in the work toilet. A lot of the addiction for me is the act of repeatedly puffing a big mouthful, so I don't really want to guy higher nic/less puffs.

In slightly related news: yihi sx350 now has a software upgrade available to make it 35w

Panga, I just read this on the ECF Vapor Shark Forum:

For that, I am building my own dual-18650 DNA30.
Same here, didn't intend to vape sub ohms, but that's what my VS is primarily used for (.6ohms @ 22-23W) I get about an hour, but compared to when I was using a mechanical, one hour of clean vape time is way more convenient for me as opposed to swapping batteries every 20 minutes
Personally, I don't think this is the device you want. However, I would hold out for the big brother with the 18650s. I'm still skeptical of the quality in those yihi chips after hearing so many reports that the SX220 won't fire at .5 ohms. I'd recommend them to people who are on a budget, but I wouldn't own one myself. I'm kind of getting the impression that the software update deal is more of a gimmick than anything. I think a lot of people will buy it with the impression that in a few months they'll have it up to 60 watts with upgrades. If the electronics can handle 35 watts, why not just ship it pushing 35? With electronics, I'll only buy quality, especially if it is connected to a battery.

I did just that and haven't looked back since. I never thought I'd get off the iClear 30s but hell yes, the KayFun is great....and so easy to set up after you've tried a few times...
Also the coils go for ever, just the strip down, clean and replace the cotton very 3 days or so, and that's dead easy....
