1. Welcome to Thailand Vapers, an English language forum for members in Thailand and the rest of Asia to talk about vaping.
Commonly referred to as e-cigarettes, vaping is really about the use of personal vaporizers (mods) and atomizers (tanks, clearos, RBAs, RDAs, RTAs) filled with e-liquid.

Thanks for your replies. At least I am not the only one this has happened to. My eating habits have changed, before I ate 2 meals a day now Im eating 3 a day. I find that the vaping is making me feel hungry early morning.

We are all different, some people can do it with a balance of calories but for me its all about exercise. I enjoy walking so I must get back into it.

It's actually almost entirely diet. Most people are unwilling to make diet changes, though, because that's "hard"

Typically, people who quit smoking gain weight initially, but later it comes off. Not sure if that is true with E-cigs, because we are still taking in the nic stimulant.

In theory, things will taste better, so it is understandable that some may eat more.

In theory, switching to vaping should bring back physical stamina, which will make it easier to stay more active, but one still needs to consciously make that effort.

After living up country for a year and a half I discovered I had lost weight, but I attribute that to being away from all the fast food options I enjoyed way too much when living in BKK and Pattaya. It does not appear that vaping has resulted in any change of weight for me.

Another thing to consider is: food tastes better when you quit smoking.

Ive found that weak atomizers like the kayun and orchid make me hungry, when i drip i dont get as hungry. Maybe the process of inhaling on a restrictive device is activating diaphragm muscles that increases stomach acids.

stir fried dark green vegetables over rice like mustard green leaves, snow peas, chayote vines with a bit of ground pork....have been working for me, iceburg lettuce dont work around here. Vegetables keep you full longer because of the fiber.

As long as i eat a proportionate amount of veggies with meat, its easy to keep weight down. Fruits have lots of sugar so be careful of that.

Ive lost so much weight that i dont have to run even half as much anymore.

    bread, meat, sugar = bad

Someone said that vaping puts more sugar in your bloodstream. Don't know if it's true or not.

Rider, agree with what you say - but, fruit sugar is un-refined and actually good for you ... eat as much fruit as you can imo !

It doesn't matter what you eat, if you consume more calories than you burn you will gain weight.

bread, sugar, yes. meat? no. eat plenty of meat. it's calorie dense, but keeps you full longer, gives you tons of protein and fats (fats are good for you). it's the simple carbs that get you.

no no no, sugar is sugar. fruit and fruit drinks will make you fat quick as hell. fructose pretty much gets converted directly into fat.

not all fats, if i eat a fatty steak or burger i can feel it in my heart, the older you get the more sensitive youll get to the littlest amounts, when you get older youll start to realize this. Your body also requires more energy to digest meat.
