What gauge kanthal for microcoil?

    A little confused about that site, it shows A 1 Kanthal like this:
    Wire Thickness - 0.30mm (300 Micron or 28 AWG
    Wire Thickness - 0.32mm (300 Micron or 28 AWG
    Wire Thickness - 0.33mm (300 Micron or 28 AWG
    Wire Thickness - 0.34mm (340 Micron or 28 AWG)

    But at the end of the day they all show 28 AWG???

    i am also confused :rolling laugh: there are so many different wires my head is spinning. anyone up for a group order? i dont need that much but i would imagine shipping would take away my cost savings.

    I'd still like to know about the question with the different sizes on that site though, as now I know I want 28 gauge but there are different mms ....

    +1 on a group order.

    EDIT: OK the main page is wrong as well. I am also confused.

    EDIT2: Ok looking at chart below I think the because the 33,34 it is not yet wide enough to be classed as 27AG. So AG is a range not a fixed amount. But as far as I know 28AG is 'normally' 32mm.

    i like the sound of this as well

    6.5 euros per 50 meter, that brings us down to 232 per 50 meters (plus shipping) as long as we purchase in multiples of 5. personally i would only need 1 but if would take a second to round out any order.
