1. Welcome to Thailand Vapers, an English language forum for members in Thailand and the rest of Asia to talk about vaping.
Commonly referred to as e-cigarettes, vaping is really about the use of personal vaporizers (mods) and atomizers (tanks, clearos, RBAs, RDAs, RTAs) filled with e-liquid.

Very interesting thread for me, since I'm also looking for some more RTA's. I think the differences in the tanks and RTA's are bigger in some way as the differences in mods, since they are directly responsible for a good vape expirience.

At the moment i am very fund of my one and only Kayfun v3.1 wich i use in Temperature control mode on the EHpro spd A5, I got from @Rick O-Shea this combination is something i still use on a daily basis. And it works very well. I'm also using the Kayfun V4's i have a lot, and they also work fine both in temperature mode and normal power mode, but I still find the Kayfun v 3.1 is just a little better.

I have both the lemo 1 and 2 but for me, the Kayfun's work better. than the lemo 1. Since I vape a lot in TC mode, the Lemo 1 is terrible. The resistance changed rapidly, as the wind blows. But the Lemo 2 is really fine also in TC mode. What i really like with the Kayfun's is that it's easy to get to the build without emptying the tank first. That is a big plus.

I don't have this tank, but I can see that Big still has it, and I have been tempted to try this tank also, now that I have some more wicking experience. The fill capacity is also something that is a big plus in my eyes, so maybe, I'll give it a try. But I already have seen some good suggestions for me to try out, in the next couple of month. Great thread !!!.

Just picked up one of these today. I really like the build deck - screwing the wire into holes in posts allows brainless positioning of the coil. It's also pretty easy to wick. Seems quite tolerant. The airflow control will allow anything from a tight MTL in almost-closed-down mode to a full lung hit wide open.

It's a top filler too, which is a plus, although unless you turn it upside down before opening the juice flow control again after filling, it will leak out about 1ml of juice. Flavour is pretty good, although for an MTL vape it doesn't quite beat the Taifun GT II. If you're going to use it MTL style the drip tip is a little too wide bore for my liking. I replaced it with the drip tip from my (mostly unused) Kayfun V4.

I agree that it's a very thirsty beast....the juice level seems to fall rapidly.

This is next on my acquisition list. Am I being obsessive?

You may want to take a look at or change your wicking method. I have refilled mine more than several times at this point and through two different builds and one of the positives I really like about it is that it has never leaked and no need to do something like inverting the tank. I'm running so many tanks that I cannot remember exactly how I have wicked it so will have a look next time.

Two biggest issues - need to go dual coil and juice in the drip tip

Quick pic below. I have just now cut the tails shorter as the action of the chimney cylinder pushed them down further than I wanted.

That's exactly how I wick it too....

The leaking usually occurs if filling the tank too full. Replacing the top cap causes a tank seal and then screwing it in pressurizes the tank, forcing too much juice into the chamber when the juice control is opened. It usually works better if the tank is not filled to the brim

It doesn't happen on mine and I fill it to near absolute max because of the way it tends to rip through juice. Maybe you have an o-ring issue somewhere or something else.

Hmm, possible. I'll change out the rings and see if it makes any difference

OK so Ive been talked into ordering a Aspire Nautilus and a Wotofo Serpent, maybe I should try the Hurricane too. I wonder which If any I will get on with. Recent tanks have been a let down, or should I say the coils have. I didnt like the Melo 2 coils or the Cubis.

I like my Goblins a lot. The Bellus is good to after I got the wicking in place. Billow v2 is something that always work.

If you are tending more toward MTL/slightly restrictive style, I can heartily recommend the Hurricane. I can get pretty easy direct lung with it but find it also closes down pretty well. @Siam Diesel , who fancies MTL seems to like it more than well enough too I think.

I'm a total newbie to rebuilding. I had the Nautilus Mini for four months before I tried the RBA. Now I've got that sorted, I'm looking at getting another RTA, idiot proof of course. After a lot of youtube, it was between the Serpent and the Bachelor. Two reviews I watched today decided it. Massive airflow and clouds, or tighter airflow but great flavour. Bachelor wins, despite the bloody stupid name.
90% of my vaping will probably be on stock coils, until building becomes second nature, but I want to future proof against further restrictions in LoS, or the GBP collapsing for a while when the UK leaves the EU.

Griffin is a nice tank with room for big guilds, and now Gemini is coming that is bigger and better and i think Gemini will be better that most rta´s but as always, it all comes down to the wicking.. Same for Griffin, if you wick it right you have no leaks and can chainvape on it without dryhits... To loose wicking it will leak, to hard wicking MTL works or you get dryhits..
