Received my order for VG / PG from Union Science yesterday.

It was very securely packed and I liked the containers – glass bottles, not cheap plastic.
However, I was a little disappointed of the freshness:

Now, that I’ve seen where it’s coming from (Srichand, located in BKK).
I googled for them and instantly found there website and even an ONLINE STORE

The Store looks nice, is in English and you can order directly (no need for a quotation).
The prices are low and the stuff is probably fresher as well.

    Refined Glycerine [450 g – 47.00 THB]
    Online Shop - Srichand Professional

    Propylene Glycol USP [450 g - 85.00 TH]
    Online Shop - Srichand Professional

In unopened containers the PG will last many years, the VG 2 years if it is stored at 15 - 20 C, and dark. The 2 years are just a standard procedure, sort of.

Thank you very much for this information! I really needed it. Regarding the Glycerine, I wonder if is that vegetable glycerine?

Good sleuth work. Definitely cheaper and easier for most, especially on the Glycerine. For us in CM it's pretty easy just to pop into Union Science. I don't know Srichand's shipping prices so it might eat up the savings for us. Good find.

As there has been some concern about the VG from Chemipan, I contacted them to get an official status of what grade of VG they offered and asked for their MSDS sheets. In case anyone is interested, I'm posting it here. It seems they only offer 99.5% USP grade and it tested out at 99.7%. MSDS sheet attached.

And THAT RIGHT THERE is why I don't buy from Chemipan. The lab analysis they sent you is on a batch that EXPIRED FOR USE in 2014.

They have given you outdated information on stock that I hope they are not still selling.

We don't even know if they use the same supplier now as this analysis is so old.

Sorry to go on but people in the forums and FB etc always ask how long juice is good for. Well if you buy VG from Chemipan from the batch that they themselves claim to be selling by supplying the above analysis your juice will ALREADY be 2 years past the expiry date before you have even made it.

I suspect this is an old analysis and we certainly can't be sure that this is from the same supplier. When I initially questioned them for the MSDS, they sent me three. One for 90%, 99.5%, and 99.7%. I asked which they are selling and how I can choose as only one is available online. They replied back that only 99.5% USP is available. Can't be 100% sure of much around here, definitely continue to do your due diligence.

I have certainly limited access to information but I personally I can't find the company in the German yellow pages, the postal code in the city of Bonn does not match with road name, I can't even find that house number in that road with Google maps, and the company name would be wrong German.
    Now help me, please.

I can't find it either. Oh well, I've got nothing to lose but a minute of time. I sent them an email to clarify the issues mentioned here. Let's see what they say.

We need a native German speaker to look at the wording a little closer. I know a little German and the name of the company is not how it would be written in German. Firma should come first from my limited knowledge. @shoo-D con you take a look?

I am native German. Nobody would name themselves like this. I am working in the flavour / food industry since 1987, in Asia since 1995.

My experience is the ISO / HALAL / MSDS and whatever certificates it is, in Asia it is a value same as used toilet paper.

What about the rest of wording in the certificate? Does it seem proper German. Not saying the COA means anything anyway but with the inconsistencies we're already seeing, I am curious if they got the rest of it right.

A couple of spelling mistakes, not the usual typos only. If you ask me, it is as it has been typed off by someone who does not know the language.
    **Updated**
An Example for the type of mistake:
"Packen Sie descript" it would be Produktname or Produktbezeichnung in this field.

They are quick to respond, although not sure why they would not have sent this originally. This one looks internally tested. No mention of the missing supplier details even though I specifically questioned it.
