    Continuing on...
I just changed the rayn, this time I did it like I saw a few UK reviewers did it..
Put it through the coil then each side make a V out of it, thus filling both juice gaps each side, put some juice on them, get them tucked in nicely and then put back together
    Thus using less rayn/cotton...
I also love the tool that comes with it, a near on full tank of juice and using the tool stand you can re wick, re coil without having to mess around with your juice in your tank./..

Each time it gets easier and easier with this Rose
Anyone noticed you use less juice than in the KayFun with this Rose?
    I do....

That's basically the same way I have been doing it and with great success. I would also agree that it seems to be more conservative in juice usage...maybe because of the tighter draw, confined coil space or something like that.

Glad to hear it's becoming easier for you to work with it. :)

I did my build of the Rose V2 last night . . . . . successfully! Unlike the my failed attempts with the "Bitch." lol

I followed the video of Richard Ng linked by V. I like this guy, he speaks and explains everything so clearly and his camera work is spot on!

I used the 2.4mm rod from the coil jig tool, 10 wraps, 28g wire and wicked with Japanese cotton. It took me a while but it all worked out on my first try and no leaking at all! Yay!!!

I upped the power to 15 watts and it vapes great with really nice flavor and I agree with V and Scratchy, it does seem to use less juice than my Kayfuns. :vaping: :vaping: :vaping: Rose_zna50.jpg

Nice mate, I would suggest also watching a few other Rose builds where they do the V with the cotton to fill both holes, I am finding that one better for me...

Thanks V . . . . for now I'm happily enjoying the Rose as is but I know I'll be trying the other builds soon. It's all part of this wonderful hobby, isn't it? :vaping:

I do like him too, but he often makes me laugh too, check out this review of the rDNA 30, around the 11:50 minute after he's took the battery out...

' 1....8....6....5...0 (18650) some kind of serial number maybe'

Cracked me up something rotten when I first watched it....

Received my Rose today, first thing I did was screw the base on to an ohm reader. SHORT!

Took me thirty minutes to work out how to remove the large insulator, just needed the right tools. Hammer and screwdriver.
After I got it out I filed down both ends of the positive post a bit, I did try with an o-ring and homemade insulator but I didn't like the result. Put it back together and built it, after giving it a good scrub.

Tested it out at 1.5r on the iStick, seemed OK but far too top heavy after using it exclusively with the Erlkonigin.

I'll try it out again when one of my crappy regulated mods arrive.

    Lovely looking atomizer though.

One question, it is a bottom fill right? Can't say I'm a fan of that...

Was that also a FT version, Rick? Seems you have been snake-bit some with several devices ordered from there. Glad you got it sorted and operational!

Yes, bottom fill...I actually like the process of taking the base off to do it so I can also check how my coil and wick are doing. That's a side benefit of it's design where you can get to your build without having to empty ejuice first. Filling is fast and easy with no leaking whatsoever with my copies.

Agree it would be better to place on a more substantial device than an iStick. It's a good chunk of metal!

Yeah another one from FT, waited for over a month for it. I've got a ticket open for it but I might just leave it for the time being as they want the whole thing back instead of just the base.

Might even send it back but keep the base and tool, get a refund and order the other one :D

Rick, what did you need to use the hammer for?
I had no problems with the Rose build except for the finicky part of getting the coil into the base holes and securing those tiny allen screws. I only have 28g wire which is a but too thin for this step and a thicker wire would make things so much easier.

Same as Scratchy, I also like that it is bottom fill and with the benefits of this as he remarked.

Technically it was a pair of pliers used as a hammer.

The postive post was shorting against the bottom of the deck, I needed to put a screwdriver in it and give it a good whack until the insulator and post came out so I could file it down and prevent a short.
