My test with using the bunny-ears method resulted in decent wicking but the airflow was quite constrained and turbulent. Could be that I just had too much wick in there or I was too sloppy with pushing it down and placing on the deck.

Regarding the TJ method, I think if too short the juice coming up the channels will overwhelm the wick. I have had it just long enough to see it poking down the juice channels a very small amount when starting to screw the bottom chimney section down with the wick still dry. Another potential problem would be that, if the wick was too short and you guided and pressed it down toward the negative post corners, you could be taking too much away from the area of the channels leaving them uncovered and allowing too much juice to seep up with every draw. I'm a little mindful of that and try to have both those corners lightly tucked in and where I expect the channels are at. More bias toward the corners.

If wick is too long, the threading of that bottom section can be pulling the wick away from the channels and/or putting some on the airflow holes.

Like yourself and others, it's also worked very well for me on the Goblin.

Well, I have yet to try wicking my Zephyrus, but on first inspection, it seems like it's quite a tricky little SOB to re-assemble after building--the rubber grommets top and bottom look like they will make screwing the top chimney section down onto the lower chimney, quite a pain--but, as I say, I have yet to try the little fella out--so, what do I know.

It's actually really easy, an improvement over its older brother the Goblin.

I had quite some leaking on the Goblin as well, it was the legs of my wick that were slightly too short. Also happen when I wanted to fill it up too fast, the pressure from the bottle has only one way out, through the wick hole then the airholes. It pushes some juice on its way.

No I squeeze the bottle like a 1930's gentleman and no leaking :)

Found mostly the same with the goblin and leaking was more because of tails not positioned well and not in fact the juice fill hole screw.

Also a good suggestion about the filling, Tibo!

I have had some gurgling sometimes after a refill but not much with leaking. Maybe just a small amount once or twice.

Anyway, since it resolves itself after a few puffs, you may want to try filling either more rapidly or more slowly than you did before as a first step in seeing what may be going wrong. Filling too quickly may introduce more pressure leading to juice overflowing the deck and filling too slowly may be allowing too much time for juice to creep up the channels and flow flow onto the deck.

Closing the AFC while refilling may help a bit as well.

I didn't find much of a leak problem with the Zephyrus, and when it worked it was great, but after a few hours I would get 'Check Atomiser ' and then after striping and reassembling it would be OK, for a few more hours. Only happens with the RBA ,which is a sh*t since I'm not so keen on the prebuilt heads. It's obviously a connection issue but I can't solve it, so sadly,Zephyrus is in the probable sale box.

When it leaks, I try to vape a few times to clear the rba chamber, gurgling will happen as the chamber is flooded and that's y it leaks IMO. I have try 4-5times top refill... Only 1 time it never leaks.. Really puzzle me.. Damn..

Only the first time afc wasn't close, rest of the refill, afc is always closed. Doesn't help that much though. Maybe it doesn't leak that much after shutting off the afc. My afc ring is quite loose.. Very easy to turn.

If it is very loose then yours was like one of the copies I had. Try either turning the afc ring upside down or replace the o-ring that's underneath it. I turned my loose one upside down and it was then ok. Not sure that's a cause of the leaking but can say it shouldn't be very loose.

Maybe experimenting with fiil speed or re-evaluating wick tail placement can reveal the answer to the leaking. Wish you success in tackling it!

Ive had this in use for a few weeks now but until today only with the stock coil. I like this tank a lot and find it provides great flavour and vapour. The stock coil needs higher wattage though, 30-40 and im normally a lower wattage vaper ie 20 watts on a single coil. That in mind I thought I would give the RBA deck a build and try to tame this beast. 2 x 1.6ohm coils and its now running great at 0.8ohms. The coil was a bit tight to fit in with 26Gauge but it works. flavour is great and I now have it working great at 24watts, considering that's only 12 watts per coil its quite a good setup for flavour. With this setup I now have a working range of 24-60 watts, not that ive tried over 40 yet.

Just stripped and rebuilt one of my stock coils, the base of these are the same as EVOD coil heads but due to the size very easy to rebuild. Theres a ceramic base inside with wicking around it that should not need replacing. The plus side of rebuilding one of these is I now have a nice 0.9 ohm single coil zephyrus.
