1. Welcome to Thailand Vapers, an English language forum for members in Thailand and the rest of Asia to talk about vaping.
Commonly referred to as e-cigarettes, vaping is really about the use of personal vaporizers (mods) and atomizers (tanks, clearos, RBAs, RDAs, RTAs) filled with e-liquid.
Are you looking to get started or an old hand at vaping? Everyone is welcome here so sign up today and talk vaping with us!

You're wasting your money on disposable vape gear

    In a word, 'yes.'

But I'd prefer to think that I was adding some spice to the blandness of the forum since the 'he who should not be named' incident.

Well as for the "incident" I wasn't around then so that means nothing to me.

As for a troller…I think I will keep my opinions to myself.

Although some forum members night think that they are more equal than others, I don't share that view.
Voice your opinion as much as you like, but my 'troll-less' opinion remains that new vapers should avoid collecting junk and get quality as soon as they can.

Every newbie should get in contact ASAP with some of the forum members to have a tryout. Because you don't get that in any shop in Thailand to see what fits them

FL, I think you've succeeded quite well...this is a good lively exchange of opinions and ideas that will make people stop and think the next time a new vaper asks for a starter kit recommendation. IMHO, that's exactly the purpose of the forum...I don't find it to be trolling at all.

I agree with this, too, but with the proviso that they should first be sure they're going to stay the vaping course, and have the knowledge needed to use the more advanced (and more expensive) PVD's before they start spending scads of money on them.

Just my 2 setangs worth on a cloudy Saturday from the Dark Side.

I comprehend it quite well...I've been vaping since 2007 and I've heard this arguement 1000 times...the first time was when the Screwdriver came out and people were paying over $200 for it. You cannot equate cost to quality...the fanboys of the Screwdriver tried to but in the end the Screwdriver was meh at best.

The simple truth is that the devices you named don't vape at all they are just glorified flashlights that provide regulated battery to the actual vaping device. Is the provari or vaporshark worth the money they charge? Yes and no. As a device, no they aren't, there is nothing special about them at all that anyone with some electrical knowledge could make on their own. Where they do differ is quality and customer service. I could build my own device but I don't want to so when I buy a device I want to get a quality device that the manufacturer stands by and Provari as well as Vapor Shark do that extremely well. In that regard they are worth the money.

You are embarrassing yourself by being a fanboy, there are literally hundreds of devices on the market that can do the same thing and more for less money and that seems to be your only gauge when it comes to devices...I paid $300 so it has to be better than your $50 device which is always going to be inherently a false argument.

That being said I wouldn't turn down a provari or a vaporshark....I might even pay for a vaporshark but I wouldn't pay that money for a provari when the MVP 2 can do almost the same thing ( minus some wattage ) for a lot less money without sacrificing quality. The MVP 3 will likely be a 30 watt device with an evolv board for under $100 and if that happens the provari will not even compare then.

You want us to believe that you've been vaping since 2007?
    I don't !

You try to persuade the mind set that a provari is the same as an SVD ?
    It isn't !

You would like people to believe that putting an evolv DNA 30chip in an Innokin will be a game changer?
    It won't!

You make too many assumptions, old boy, and the fact remains that a provari or a VS DNA 30 will always produce a better vaping experience that any $50 device you care to mention.

I know this because I HAVE an SVD and a Nemesis. I too have had an MVP and a likes it, but as a PVD it has it's limitations, where my preferential devices don't.

Ok so it's been established that FL has the best mods, but I think the real question here is who has the biggest dick.

Why ?, does it have better looking volts ?, i agree that that the older devices using the 33hz chips was diff. but all the newer ones gives the same output on the scope and there is not any diff. in the output signal.

provari is an overpriced sub par product thats over hyped, were did i see this before ?, ohh yes the iphone syndrome, still selling new models with features that others had a year ago, dont get me wrong a provari is a well made device but not any better than a upto date mod from joyetech or innokin when it comes to how it sends power to your atty.

I would love someone to explain to me how a 300 dollar mod can be described as better than a 100 dollar mod if they both manage to deliver near enough identical volts/watts to the atty. By better are we talking about longevity of the device, perhaps customer service? Otherwise I struggle to see one being better than the other unless aesthetics / status is included.

Why would I lie about when I started vaping? I started in December of 2007 with a piece of junk cigarette lookalike but then I found others like me on the net....I spent most of my time dripping 510 atomizers and dealing with dead ego batteries .

No one here will change your mindset and I'm happy for you that you have found what you like to use although you seem seriously ignorant to the world around you. By the way ...there are many of us that started vaping a long time ago....if you don't believe me got to ECF and follow the timelines. ECF itself started in 2008.

I'm sorry I stand corrected...I started in December 2008....I joined ECF in 2009...I was on and off with the cigarette lookalike until June of 2009 when I got my first 510.

It all comes down to which has more buttons. More buttons = better device.
