    LOL, like to see manufacturers following that, but doubtful, they often don't like people meddling.

    I repair a lot of stuff myself, but if warranty is still valid and worth the hassle, certainly would consider returning it.

    Totally right. Sometimes I buy things only to mess with them and then fix them. Have never kept any warranty cards.
